That's good news and I hope airbus would also speed up the delivery of CX2, 3, 4....etc

SQ2 is also now preparing for 1st flight after its first delivery weeks ago.

Cathay Pacific says its first Airbus A350-900 is now scheduled to be delivered in May, a further push back from the April target announced earlier this year.

The airline disclosed the additional delay in its 2015 annual results, adding that it will take delivery of 12 of the type this year. It also took delivery of its first two A350 simulators last May.

In February, when it was originally slated to take its first A350, the airline disclosed that delivery will be pushed to April because of a “cabin product issue”. Then, it also said that it was working closely with Airbus and the product supplier to minimise the risk of further delays.

The Hong Kong carrier is planning to add 22 A350-900s to its fleet over the next two years, followed by 26 A350-1000s from 2018 through to 2020.

In February, Cathay retired one A340 from its fleet. It has also brought forward the retirement of the remaining three of its aged Boeing 747-400 passenger aircraft from 2017 to 2016.

It appears it did not manage its first flight yesterday.

Just two trips around the tarmac:

Is it confirmed that the A350 on CX will have wifi onboard? I see a lot of A350 customers have this feature, including SQ. So I am curious to see if that is the case for CX. They've been saying that they are testing wifi on this aircraft, wonder if they will finally reveal this feature on this aircraft.

Yes, confirmed. It has been said in PR's.

There is also an antenna installed already.

I think id be a good idea for WiFi to be enabled at launch for passengers to try it out and give feedback to see how the service performs. I certainly would love to try it out even if its for 90 minutes.
