Does anyone know more details about the new lounge like where it'll be and what sort of facilities it'll have?

just want to make sure you are also not confusing this with the existing (old) cathay lounge. did you happen to go inside to check out the goods? any insight appreciated. hitting it up in a couple of weeks.

Talked to the lounge agent @ YVR. She said new lounge should open in April. No first class section, but with showers and noodle bar.

Do you know where the new lounge will be located and who will occupy the old space?

"Close to the BA lounge". Probably the space (used to be a smoking room years ago think) below the BA lounge i guess. Didn't ask who's going to use the current cx space

It has always struck me that with the timing of BA and CX services, that some consolidation of lounge services between BA and CX ought to be possible.

who knows, but if it's anything like CX's other new / refurbished lounges it will be a massive upgrade over the existing one. CX's new lounges are very well done. Even without Champagne I'll take any of CX's newly done lounges in a heartbeat.

Hi -

If the new YVR lounge is anything like the MNL lounge, I think people will be happy the the new look.

Outstanding that YVR is finally getting showers. Having clean, hydrated skin makes such a difference on TPAC flights.

'If' is the operative word as I have a CX flt end of May and am hoping that the new YVR lounge is open by then. Notorious year-long delays are not uncommon and so April seems optimistic given that it was supposed to have opened some months ago. So April is already a six month delay from the original month. Could be fall 20??. Probably CX doesn't really know either.

Or we can go upstairs to the BA lounge and just drink their Pol Roger?
