KUL Equipment Swap?

Its been mentioned numerous times on this forum SIN flights are prone to last minute equipment swaps. But what about KUL?

http://www.flightradar24.com/data/flights/cx725/

Seems like a constant use of A333.. .just a mixture of 33G and 33Z. The A343 and 772 are same as scheduled. The only swap I see is one or two rare 77W and 747.

Yes. KUL do have the occasional equipment swap.

But I've never seen a 744 on the route though.

I'm sure I saw a CX 747 going to KL last week at HKIA. 747s are popping up all over regional routes these days....around the time I saw the 747 going to KL, pretty sure CX flew a 747 to/from Nagoya. My friend swears he was on a "double decker" plane from there and he has no reason to make it up. Didn't think they flew 747 on that route either. i also saw a 747 going to PEK in the last month. Just walking to my gates at HKIA these days it seems like the 747s are going to previously unvisited regional destinations. I think as the 747s get pulled back off the long-haul routes there's a short-term spike in them regionally before they're gone forever.

July 17 and June 4 CX725

CX 723 seems to run a very solid track of A333.

We were swapped out of a scheduled 33G into a 343 recently.

FWIW, I'm based out of KUL half the year and have flown on all CX aircraft types but the 77G on the KUL-HKG runs. I seem to get a last-minute equipment swap about 1 in every 5-6 flights.

Not if your 744 went tech making your red-eye becomes a day-time flight
