Imagine carrying your luggage up/down the shuttle bus :-(

Wondering if there's a Staff Canteen in T4?

I'm visiting Singapore in October and I'm flying out of SIN on Oct 30...how unfortunate (or maybe fortunate?) to miss the move date by one day.

I've just booked BKK-SIN for 14th November, arrival details are T1 at SIN. Of course it could change - I hope it doesn't.

Though the official moving date for CX to T4 is 31st Oct but that does not mean the lounge will open exactly on that day in time. Really depends on whether they can complete construction in time and that there are no delays... Hope for the best.

The lounge is ready:

Also the photos up thread show the lounge "powered on" with lights.

Changi Airport Group (CAG) today announced that the new Terminal 4 (T4) at Changi Airport is scheduled to commence operations on 31 October 2017.

To ensure a smooth transition of flight operations from the existing terminals, the operations of the nine T4 airlines – the AirAsia Group (of four airlines), Cathay Pacific Airways, Cebu Pacific Air, Korean Air, Spring Airlines and Vietnam Airlines – will be shifted to T4 over one week on the following dates:

Tuesday, 31 October 2017 - Cathay Pacific Airways and Korean Air

Thursday, 2 November 2017 – Cebu Pacific Air and Spring Airlines

Tuesday, 7 November 2017 – AirAsia Group and Vietnam Airlines

The first arrival and departing flights at T4 will be operated by Cathay Pacific – CX659 from Hong Kong (STA[1]: 0540 hours) and CX650 to Hong Kong (STD1: 0650 hours) respectively.

What, CX650 SIN-HKG at 6.50am? Bugger that!! :P

If there's no media preview the day prior to opening (as is usually the case with CX lounges) I'll be trying to get onto a SIN-HKG flight on Oct31 but definitely at a more civilised hour, eg CX690 at 12.55pm or CX734 at 4.05pm.

Naa - 650 is almost humane. True self-flagellation requires one to be on 659

I'm not totally optimistic either, but I see reasons this could turn out okay. .
From what I've heard/seen:

- I have it on good authority that the lounge is HUGE and one of the best ones outside of HKG. Somebody I know was given a tour but phones were confiscated prior to entry so no pictures would leak
- there are only 4 widebody gates, all on the same side of the terminal. So with even a modicum of intelligence on the part of CX/Changi Airport Group (not a given!) the lounge will be near those 4 gates.
I haven't booked travel beyond October so no confirmed opportunity to try it all out, but I'm sure given my travel pattern it will come soon enough.
