Good thing I was flying CX then.....
I don't know what UA's irrops has anything to do with CX when I don't even fly in that alliance. And when I land late on a AA flight and have to schlep across the terminal, I've gotten buggy service from AA rather than the pathetic excuse of a reception I got in HK where I just paid 60 hkd to ferry myself to the checkpoint, rush through screening and make my flight whilst a confused CX agent was trying to apologize.
Pathetic. At least I wasn't like the poor guy next to me that has a 5 hr unplanned layover since he missed the Early afternoon connection to taizhou and the afternoon one is sold out.

I'm not sure if CX even provide it's own DM's buggy service for it's late incoming DM pax. But HKIA is a very efficient airport - and CX will always have an agent waiting for you at the bridge and escort you through security until you reach your connecting flight's gate.

I've never had an escort, but as on OWE who frequent HKG, I think they probably figured out that I know the way just as well as they do.

Calling an airline pathetic just because they didn't give you a free buggy ride for a distance that could have been walkable in < 3~5mins...is just pathetic itself

Still haven't heard a response to why I can book an F ticket at a over 50% discount over someone who is an actual elite of the airline as a member of another FF program. But why bother with facts and talking about real issues when we can all just bury our heads in the sand and think bad service is good. PATHETIC.

I hear a lot of people saying how great AA is when it comes to redemption on CX flights. Yes, it's true, but just wait till Mr. Parker gets his hands on AAdvantage. With the devaluation trend started by DL and followed by UA, AA is bound to follow to "keep up with the competition." Those 55k AAdvanatage award seats to Asia 2 in J will be history. It's just a matter of time.

As a BA Gold/OWE, I have always been greeted by the In Flight Manager on CX flights, although not on KA, and been asked to let them know if I need anything. I’ll see if this continues in a couple of weeks on my next flight To be honest, although this is nice, the best part of BAEC is the earn/burn opportunities, coupled with F lounge access globally as Emerald.

MPC execs just did everything they could again to help me with an extra perk I had requested. Very glad to be a Cathay/Dragonair loyalist.
Happy New Year and stick with the best FFP around...

The title of this thread is strange. MPC is simply the best FFP possible.
As any frequent flyer or frequent anything loyalty structure, the more exclusive the better.
Some of the benefits are great:
a) One of my favorite is the 24/7 access to The Club with usually instant solutions to any issue (even though upgrade with miles is becoming a bit more difficult these days...).
b) Having dinner with the CEO of Cathay was nice.
c) Op-up also a nice feature of this program even though this is actually being diluted by the Amex strategy.
d) Priority WL and guaranteed seat is a must for anyone travelling that much.
I used to be a member of both BA and CX FFP but decided years ago to put everything on CX, even if I could easily keep both.
