Photos of the new Cathay Pacific Lounge at Hong Kong- 'The Bridge'
Entry requirements: This is classed as a Business Class/J Lounge so BA Silver/OW Sapphire cardholders can use it.
(Thanks to correction cx for pointing this out) I didn't get long to spend in this Lounge despite arriving at the Airport 3 hours and 40 minutes before my flight. This was due to my BP kept on printing Bronze when I was Silver, my BAEC account was showing Silver (which I made on the way out about a week prior to my return home) as was my phone, and as was the CSM's iPad which I later discovered. I see there was a thread on here with a Silver to Gold member experiencing the same. It took an hour to sort it out and the BA Staff and HKG Manager (all very helpful indeed and kept apologising) called London to confirm my status and made a call to the Lounges. They could see I was Silver as I had 675 TP's at this stage but they eventually over rided the system which gave me Silver on my BP. Anyhow here are some details of my short visit. Personally for all the inconvenience I think I should have at the very least received another double Op Up ;) but that was not to be the case here. Moving on then here are some photos of The Bridge at Terminal 1 which is Cathay Pacific's new lounge in at HKG. You can find the Lounge just at the main junction where you see/approach the signs for gate 60 and over. Look to the left and it is at the bottom of the escalators. The Lounge is split into two parts. 1) Turn right and you will head to the TV area, The Long Bar and The Bakery. 2) Turn to the left and you will be heading for The Showers, IT/Business area and The Coffee Loft as well as some places for refreshments, fruit etc. I found this area to be a bit quieter. Unfortunately they are not directly linked so you have to come out of one and walk past the reception into the other area. Very nice staff, well groomed and a very nice but short experience. I had a drink in the Long Bar, a chat with the Barman there (very friendly) and a little bite to eat. The food was all fresh despite it being about 10 p.m. and it closes at 0100 hours according to the staff member. Look to the left just BEFORE you get to here. I'll start by looking at the Long Bar area etc. which is to the right as you look down at the reception. The lounge is like one big corridor with the eating places off to the right as you enter, seating to the left, then you come to a TV/open area then there is The Long Bar at the end, which is in fact.....................very long :D The IT area, The Coffee Loft and Showers have the same set up, a long path/corridor with the above places off to the LEFT with the Coffee Bar etc. right at the end. I hope that makes sense. https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-M...o/P1080939.JPG https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-n...o/P1080938.JPG https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-x...o/P1080932.JPG https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-x...o/P1080934.JPG https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/--...o/P1080904.JPG https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-F...o/P1080849.JPG https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-7...o/P1080852.JPG https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-e...o/P1080903.JPG https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-_...o/P1080855.JPG https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-R...o/P1080858.JPG Lots on offer including Salads, Meats, Hot Quiche, Pizza's, Fruit, drinks etc. https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-J...o/P1080860.JPG https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-3...o/P1080864.JPG https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-H...o/P1080868.JPG https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-k...o/P1080871.JPG https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-w...o/P1080875.JPG https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-A...o/P1080898.JPG https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-X...o/P1080896.JPG https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-P...o/P1080884.JPG More to come of this 'side' of the Lounge |

Lots of hot food on offer including some Chinese Dishes and more Western ones too. Hopefully someone can add more details about the Menus etc. but hopefully this link can answer any questions. An interesting site which has regular updates about other Lounges in the Far East, Australasia etc. Click here Cheers Pete |

Happy & safe travels S Some of the photos haven't turned out as good as I thought they might and tbh my camera isn't very good al low light conditions. However hopefully it gives a rough idea of what it's like and what to expect. The Australian Business Traveller link provides more details about food and includes daylight photos which shows the Lounge up much better. |
Lovely report there, PETER01 ^
Without any sense of patriotism, I will add the lounge was in fact designed in London by British architects :) |

Just to update you lot, CX have removed the pre packaged cookies as there has been a lot of pilferage. So similar to baxterstory, there r now in jars as u can see in the pictures. Hopefully they don't smell like urine

Looks very nice. My next flight out of HK is on Qatar who usually fly from gates not too far from there.
Only disappointment is they bought Macs for the IT zone! |

Thank you for sharing. Looks like a great place.

Looks like the same reception staff as when I was there last week.
I didn't know about the other things off to the left side of reception though. I was told only showers were over there. |
