Should have.

I have a 22/2 KA294 one-way Y(X) booking, J(U) is available. Asked MPO to quote change fee - I was told it's a reissue for US$100.

Must be over the phone.

A slight variant on this. Looking at a redemption where J is available on the outbound leg but only Premium Economy on the return leg at the moment (although I'm guessing a reasonable chance J will become available on the return leg closer to departure).

Anyone know if it's possible to ticket as a return in J (which is almost the same AM as ticketing one way J and one way PE) and use this J ticket to downgrade to grab the PE seat that's available for the return leg?

Advantage would be that if J becomes available later on the return leg, I'm guessing it wouldn't be a US$100 reissue?

Yes

Reissue required. Why won't it be reissue?

There's no way you can do it online. You must call in.

If I am reading and understanding this thread correctly, it will cost me $25 per 1000 miles/pp to change the date on an award flight (same flight, same airline, etc just one day later).

https://www.flyertalk.com/forum/cath...rebooking.html

Can be done online: still 1,000AM or US$25

If offline (i.e. by phone):
- pre 1 Dec 16 redemption tickets: 1,000AM or US$25
- 1 Dec 16 or after redemption tickets: 4,000AM or US$40

Thank you.
So you are saying that currently the change is $40/person (or 4K AM) on the phone and only $25 (or 1K AM) if done online? Is this per segment?
My award would be SFO-HKG-SYD.
1 Can that be easily changed online or does it require a call?
2 would the fee for online change (if doable) be $25 or $50/person?
TIA

Follow up to above.
I was unable to change the booking online (for a date change) so I had to call. Cost me 4 X $40 = $160.
Is there any consideration for elites (OW Sapphire) or can I claim that I couldn’t change it online?
TIA

Cannot. Even if 90% of our rebooked itineraries are incapable of being rebooked online

Try and see if you can get anything out from them. So far the other airlines that I deal with waves charges if it cannot be done online except this one
