Booked JFK-YVR one way in J a few months ago, but F just opened up on the same flight - is this change fee supposed to be applied if there's no date or routing change? Same flight, same date, different cabin.
The description implies it shouldn't, but I don't seem to be able to do it online

I have a 22/2 KA294 one-way Y(X) booking, J(U) is available. Asked MPO to quote change fee - I was told it's a reissue for US$100.
Must be over the phone.

Anyone know if it's possible to ticket as a return in J (which is almost the same AM as ticketing one way J and one way PE) and use this J ticket to downgrade to grab the PE seat that's available for the return leg?
Advantage would be that if J becomes available later on the return leg, I'm guessing it wouldn't be a US$100 reissue?

If I am reading and understanding this thread correctly, it will cost me $25 per 1000 miles/pp to change the date on an award flight (same flight, same airline, etc just one day later).

Can be done online: still 1,000AM or US$25
If offline (i.e. by phone):
- pre 1 Dec 16 redemption tickets: 1,000AM or US$25
- 1 Dec 16 or after redemption tickets: 4,000AM or US$40

I was unable to change the booking online (for a date change) so I had to call. Cost me 4 X $40 = $160.
Is there any consideration for elites (OW Sapphire) or can I claim that I couldn’t change it online?
