If your journey includes flights in more than one class, the more generous allowance will apply to your whole journey (unless the flights are on separate bookings then each class's allowance will apply to the individual flight). For example:

- You fly from Manchester to London in UK Domestic and connect from London to Rome in Club Europe. The Club Europe allowance applies to your entire journey.

- You fly from London to Dubai in World Traveller and return in World Traveller Plus. The World Traveller Plus allowance applies to your entire journey.

Executive Club Gold and Silver members and oneworld Emerald and Sapphire members receive additional checked-baggage benefits when flying on British Airways and oneworld member airline flights.

- An additional free checked bag in any class of travel for the cardholder and any customer travelling on the same booking (excludes hand-baggage only fares and special group rate bookings).
- A weight allowance of 32kg (71lb) per checked bag in any class of travel for the cardholder only.

Only ever used it once.

A whole bunch of us who are all OW Emeralds went to do some exhibitions in Europe, it was an amazing sight checking in so much luggage. What we didnt figure out was, how the hell we get it out of the airport at the other as the security doors from baggage reclaim were very narrow and would only allow you each through with one trolley each, after much negotiating with the most unfriendly baggage staff we finally managed to get it all through by getting them to keep the doors open while we literally shifted 8 trolleys between four of us.

The driver who was there to meet us had a panic attack when he saw we actually needed a truck not a Volkswagon estate car.

Needless to say the samples stayed in Europe for the return trip.
