I don't think there is AA code share on YYZ flights.

AA mileage questions should be brought up in the AA forum, but in short, you can only get AA miles on booking classes H or above on CX marketed and operated flights.

If you have further AAdvantage related questions, please post in the AA forum.

CX 829/828 is not codeshared with AA with an AA flight number. So if you want to get miles on your AAdvantage, you have to make sure that your CX flight is booked into at least Y, B or H for economy class. You get AA miles for Business class obviously.

Independent of whether YYZ-HKG is codeshared at all, what matters (for mileage credit) is which flight number you have booked. If your flight number is AA on your ticket, AA's earning rules prevail. If it's CX, CX's prevail.

Depends on flight number and fare class.

...
I think OP is hoping that it will be an AA flight number, hence the question.
And hence the answer is that on the Canada-HKG and v.v. flights are not AA codeshared flights unless the flight originates from USA.

For the AA code-share on HKG-YVR-JFK and v. v., one can only book it as HKG-JFK and v. v., not as HKG-YVR and v. v. or YVR-JFK and v. v.
