Bankcomm 10X ($1.2/mile) Easter and 3X ($4/mile) Fri-Sun April dining
http://www.bankcomm.com.hk/mediafile...f_19720_tc.pdf (no English pamphlet yet)
http://www.hongkongcard.com/forum/fo...w.php?id=11944
Can earn 1X ($12/mile) more if Bankcomm Unionpay >=$300 spending ($1.09/mile, $3/mile)
Cap at 50,000 extra points per card for entire promotion.
I have HSBC 6X on dining, which beats the Fri-Sun component ($2.78/mile). However I will use Bankcomm Unionpay for Easter dining.

Registration hotline 8226 1886 won't be open before 21 Mar
Have to see whether we can lucky draw first and convert later, cos the 2% isn't much (last December: 8%)

i'll only convert if they give me 15% bonus. haha.
yes, they've done 8% bonus twice in the last two or three years.

CCB 0.8% Cross-border transaction in HKD handling charge w.e.f. 1 Jun 14
a potential loophole with HSBC 6x overseas (manual selected) red hot promotion.
I using my Premier HSBC for a cruise (no name mentioned but international major). The bill was in HKD$ and I settled the charge as such. The bill shows up as Southampton GB, and wola to my huge surprise I was awarded 6x promotion reward cash for this... I totally didn't expect (I wanted to pay with my AMEX but they didn't accept, thank god they didn't!)
so no foreign transaction fee but thanks 6x reward cash which was not expected... Also just got my CCB loophole miles... seems like I'm not going to be short of Asiamiles

The fee is disclosed as 0.8%.

I got the mail last week and told to me register my SCB PB VI for this promo.
Some details I have are :
Tier A: Spending of HK$48,401 - HK$76,400 = HK$5=1 mile
Tier B: Spending of HK$76,401 and above = HK$2.5=1 mile

It's progressive award. The hotline gave the follwing example:
Eligible spending: 50,000.
Tier 1: 15,001-45,000
Tier 2: 45,001 and above
Award due (including basic):
First 15,000 = 15K / 7.5 = 2,000
Next 30,000 = 30K / 5 = 6,000
Final 5,000 = 5K / 2.5 = 2,000
Total: 10,000AM
Why can't this Super Complicated bank just simply say $5/mile?

Hi all, where can I find the foreign transaction fee for Citibank Premiermiles? Nothing in the terms and conditions I'm looking at.

If we have for ex HK$20,000 in supermarket expenses per month, is HSBC 6x the best option? I just read the following clause:
Registered cardholder is entitled to receive doubled RewardCash for the first HK$4,500 eligible transactions made in the first quarter of 2014 and the first HK$9,000 eligible transactions made in each subsequent quarter of 2014 during 20 February 2014 to 31 December 2014.
This means we will only get 6x rewards for the $9000 in the second quarter? Hardly seems worth it. I think I may be misreading.
