Will SYD-HKG-SYD get the new seats? I think it's a A330.

Please see the specific section of the CX FAQ here.
Deployment plans, current as at 12 February 2011, are as follows:
A330-300 fleet
* The first aircraft to feature the Cirrus Business Class will be new delivery B-LAK, which will launch on the Sydney route by operating CX101 HKG-SYD on 1 March 2011. LAK will operate CX101 on a daily-except-Monday basis thereafter.
* From 1 June 2011, with the arrival of new delivery B-LAL, CX101/0 will go daily 33E. Also from 1 June, the 33E will appear three times weekly on CX111/0 and two times weekly on CX161/2.
* From 1 August 2011, with the arrival of new delivery B-LAM, CX111/110 will go daily 33E and CX161/162 will go four-times-weekly 33E.
* 33B will remain on CX139/8 and the other three CX161/2 services until mid-2012 when new delivery B-LAN arrives.
* After Sydney goes complete 33E in mid-2012, existing Olympus-fitted A330-300 33B aircraft HLP-HLS, HLW and LAC-LAJ will start to be retrofitted to 33E.
* The tentative plan at this stage is for the 33E to start making appearances in Melbourne and Adelaide from September 2012, followed by Perth, Brisbane and Cairns from October 2012.
* Business Class configuration on the 33E will be 1-2-1, with capacity confirmed at 39J/223Y.

SFO
It seems like of all the north american ports mentioned, there is no mention of SFO's new business class deployment schedule.

Unless they suddenly change their decisions and decide to fit the Cirrus J seats on 744s, I don't think SFO would get the new seats(With the exception of winter months) until those 747s are retired.

They will not put those cirrus seats on the 744. They will just wait till the 744's are retired. Don't worry we have a huge amount of 77W's on the way!

GREAT!!!
just got off the new HKG-JFK 77W. WHAT AN IMPROVEMENT!!
I refused to fly in the coffin on long-hauls but now, it's Cathay all the way!!
The new configurations are great - roomy, good sleeping, great storage, great VOD
A few kinks still have to be worked out (vod had to be reset 3 times/Seat controls once) but this was the 1st or 2nd aircraft with this new config and I am sure they will be.
THANK YOU CATHAY for listening and putting out a product that is rises above the competition

Seats to stay away from
Great product BUT - stay away from 15A - NO WINDOWS - OK if you like closets but...
Row 21 also has only 1 window - not a huge deal but worth noting..
the first mini-cabin looks great.
