HK-YVR J class

hi!
new to this forum, hope you guys don't mind my question if it seems stupid!

i'm thinking of using my miles to upgrade to J but i just want to confirm that the flight i'll be on would have the new business class seats!!!

so the flight is CX888 HK-YVR
on the CX website it says the aircraft used will be the 773
anyone been on this flight before can share some thoughts?

hopefully someone can help me with this before i go ahead with the upgrade!
thank you so much!!

i've taken it a few times the past 6 months, and cx888/9 were always served by 77A. you can always go to the last step of your online redemption booking, and goto choose seats. if the config is 1-2-1, you've got the new seats :)

that's of course barring any last minute substiutions.

thanks for the reply!
why didn't i think of doing that!
hahaha...

anyway, i went through and saw that it has the 1-2-1 config!!!

now i wanna ask...which seat would you recommend?!
i thought of taking either rows 11 or 12, as it seems like they would be quieter cos they are seperate from the rest of the J
but 11 is blocked out and 12 is only left with A, D and G

or would you recommend any seat from row 15 onwards???

They are all isolated cubicles - there is really no difference between them. You won't see anything for the whole flight except some poor flight attendant trying to give an elegant service whilst reaching all the way from your feet and over your TV.

lol this is so true :)

I never sit in the mini cabin of J, but I think it must be somewhat quieter? If you could get that then sure, go ahead :) If not, IMHO any new CX J seats are still great for me.

Just to point out again to the OP, we have a FAQ thread which has a lot of information in it - including about the new J seats, cabin layouts, etc. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/catha...xperience.html
