American Eagle flights count for MPC?

My mom will be just shy of going from Green to Silver by 297 miles. I was thinking of having her fly a very quick flight on American Eagle just to get 297 "club miles."

I am unable to find out if American Eagle counts or not towards club miles.

The "fare class" (Q) in this case is listed for "American Airlines" on https://www.cathaypacific.com/cpa/en...orld#fareclass

.. but nothing about American Eagle.

I do plan to call CX, but it would be great to get a second opinion from this forum rather than take the word of a customer service agent that I can't hold accountable down the road.

Thanks,
Vik

Not only does the chart omit affiliates American Eagle and American Connection, it doesn't list the various LAN airlines, either. LAN Peru, LAN Argentina, LAN Express and LAN Ecuador are all OneWorld affiliate members.

The footnotes to the chart make it clear that the various LAN airlines are included for MPC members, since they exclude certain fare classes for flights wholly within Argentina, Chile and Peru. Those wholly domestic flights are flown by the various affiliates, not by the original LAN (Chile). Those affiliates also fly non-domestic flights, leading to a conclusion that those international flights are included for MPC members.

The chart also omits the affiliates of BA and QF, although the affiliates of CX and JL are listed in their entirety.

I'm confident that American Eagle flights are included, as Eagle is a OneWorld Affiliate of American Airlines. American Eagle and American Connection (STL feeders) use the same fare classes as the mainline AA with the exception of X and R, the upgrade classes mentioned in the footnotes to the chart, as the Eagle and Connection flights are one class flights.

Yes they do.

I second that, they do.

I fly BOS-JFK on Eagle to connect to JFK-HKG on CX and I always get MPC miles for the Eagle legs.

Yes. I've flown up and down the California coast a few times on American Eagle. And I've always gotten my miles and sector credit toward MPC.
