Setup for 87A/K and 88A/K on 74A
 

Quick question for the 74A experts. Looks like I will be on the new product for the first time in September (if all stands still) . I know the seats are all very similar with exception to the comments on longer and quieter versions upstairs. What I can not seem to find is if seat 87A or 87K have walls on both sides like the others? Also, even though I am not MPC and odds are low for snagging them, what is the setup for 88A or 88K? I have seen notes that they have the monitor in the armrest so that would make me think they do not have a wall on one side.

Any info is appreciated.

87A and 87K have walls on both sides. In fact, pretty much all the upper deck seats are the same. Sometimes the FAs make use of the space by the doors (i.e., just ahead of row 87) during in-flight service (e.g., carts might be parked there).

I still have not been upstairs on a 74A yet. If CX does not change equipment on me again (I had pretty bad luck with this - CX changed equipment three times in my two long-haul flights in July), I shall be in 88A later this month. I'll see how it is like.

Thanks for the info. I guessed that at least 87 had two walls but wasn't sure. I think I am a little odd, but I like to have support on both sides to lean against (of course unless I am on the "day bed" size of SQ) so my 87K reservations should work out fine.

Assuming I do not get the equip switch also, then it will be early Sept for me. I will be sure to post comments once I see what I get.

After being on the new upper deck my preference was 92A I thought it was thee most private and I had no issues with it's proximity to the lavs as seatguru has noted. I'm still not a fan of the hew product though.

I've had 87A before. It was nice to have no one "behind" me, but the odd set up in row 87 is that the little drink tray/holder is on the opposite side compared to other rows. It was on the same side as the PTV, which I found a bit inconvenient. I wouldn't choose that seat again.
