CX746 stopover in DXB

Hello,

I am booked to travel on CX746 (in business class) from BAH to HKG in late August. I understand that this flight (operated by a 2 class A340-300?) does a stopover in DXB for 1 hour 10 minutes. Does anyone know if you are allowed off the aircraft at DXB and, if so, whether there is lounge access available during the short stopover? It will be my first time flying CX and I am keen to see how they compare to BA. Many thanks in advance for any helpful hints.

Hi,
Its a short stopover and no one is allowed out.
But I flew last year from dxb hkg via bah and i was allowed out for a cigarette maybe in bah they are ok with it.

I took CX746 in middle of May and shall take it again in the next few days. It is a 3-class Airbus 330 with the old long-haul business class configuration. The stopover in DXB is about an hour and passengers to HKG are not allowed to get off the plane. The CX lounge in BAH is a bit weak. Don't expect too much there. Overall, it is a pretty good flight.

The arrival time at HKG is a bit inconvenient. My mid-May flight arrived at around 5:40am. Obviously, the unmanned train connecting the gates doesn't operate until 6am. Some PAXs elected to walk. I waited until 6am to catch the first train, knowing that it is a 15-20 minutes walk. It would be nicer if the plane docked at a gate closer to the custom.

a bit OT, not about stopover in DXB...but I'll soon take the HKG-DXB-HKG nonstop. just wondering, what the service is like on this, in J and F ? e.g. would F get caviar and sleepsuit ? because I'm thinking officially it's listed as 8-8.5 hours, maybe 1 hour less than HKG-SYD...so would the J/F service be comparable ? or is this more a medium-haul service ?

tried searching a bit on the forum but couldn't find too much talking about this nonstop route...

thanks.

now I can answer my own question - the HKG-DXB-HKG nonstop is actually like a usual long-haul service...with caviar/Krug/sleepsuit for F, and 2 meals(but no snacks in between since the flight is too short anyway).

Don't think there will be Krug. Prob Deutz Vintage.

now have the wine list on hand to confirm, "Krug Grande Cuvee Champagne". when they were pouring I saw the Krug label too that's thus what got registered in my mind (but just to make sure so just now double-confirmed with the wine list I got onboard).

it applies to flights 731, 733, 732, 738, 745, 746. I can understand the flights to/from DXB, 731/738/745/746, all/most of these operated by 3-class 333. but for 732/733 to/from RUH, I thought it's 2-class 777 only ? or they starting to fly F on these soon too ? otherwise why includes these flight numbers on this F wine list ?
