Ture Flat Beds in J - PEK-PVG
I just came across this pic:
http://www.airliners.net/open.file?i...5257&tbl=CABIN It seems HU has tre flat beds on PEK-PVG routes. What a waste of space on such a short route. THese are the SA type seats and you can see it is almost impossible to get out if you are in the window seats. I believe QF's new J Class will be like this as well. |
Well CX does offer F service between HKG-TPE and that's even shorter than PEK-PVG. Also it's better for the airline to place an A330 on the route rather than have it laying on the ground between long-haul flights.
Yes, the new QF Skybeds will be fully flat similar to this but they use a proprietary design, so maybe it'll be closer to the cabin floor to provide better access. |
CX does fly 744 with 1st class on CX450 / 451 over HKG<=>TPE daily.
Sometimes 744 on CX 460 / 461 & 77A on CX 470 / 471 too |

You make that sound like a bad thing. |
I have flown TG CNX-BKK a 50 minute flight utilizing an Intercontinental Long Haul 747 and I was one of a few fortunate Business Passengers seated in First with a Full Lie Flat bed.

One of those flights continues on to NRT.

Exactly. For CX they offer F Class to MNL/TPE etc.. because it is to bump up aircraft utilisation. However HU offer solely for the short haul market.
