Gold level

Hello, I have a couple of questions.I will get to GOLD tier wth my next September trip to trek the Pinatubo. Besides that, I still have a JFK-HKG-HKT-JFK, about 19000 miles.I know dimond is impossible for me this year, but any of you knows if Cathay has something for 90000 miles for the yer? Second, my november flight has a discounted fare, ticketed in may, will I be able to upgrade HKG-JFK to try the new business? last July I was op upped 3 flights out of 4, so I think luck is against me this time. Thank you

Your membership year will be reset when you reach Gold. The next 19000 miles in your plan will for for the next membership year to determine if you can renew (60000, including the 19000 you will have) or qualify for Diamond (120000).

You can upgrade if your ticket is YBHKMLV (if you ticket your upgrade before Oct 15) YBHK (if afterwards). I do not know how upgrade is like with additional flights, but you probably need to book soon.

You could upgrade if you get it processed before 15-Oct-07. The trouble is that CX has not released any U class (upgrade) seats for 77A flights. I called several times and some very nice agents checked for me. There aren't any availablities on the 77A flights at all, only some availabilities on the 346 and 747 flights. :(

If you want to try out 77A and no availability is shown, you can try instant upgrade at the airport.
