NEW business class

Hello, I was wondering when CX would be installing their new business/first class seats (flat beds in J class) and whether the LAX-HKG or JFK-HKG would have them by the month of december ? any ideas anyone ?

Also is it worth using miles to upgrade to regional business class (HKg-BOM sector) or is a bulk head or an exit row seat in economy good enough ?

thanks ,

RJ

CX840/841 JFK-HKG vv operated by 777-300 have new J.
CX830/831 may or may not:confused:

hkg-bom is RBC as noted above. Not sure how many miles it requires, but I feel it is not much of an upgrade. I would keep the miles. I also recommend taking the earlier flight to BKK and spending the day there, and then taking the BKK-BOM flight in the afternoon.

At this stage, it appears the B77W (which has the brand new J) would be operating on the JFK-HKG route (CX840/841 as neuro0 pointed out) and LAX-HKG would be operated by the older B744/74J.

You may of course be very lucky like I was this week. HKG-PVG on Thursday was a brand new A330 with the longhaul config on a regional flight. Only second ever passenger sector for this aircraft. The personal TV screen was huge (must be 15 inch diagonal)
