Cathay city ticket office?
I see on the web that they have an office in the Peninsula building. Is this the best choice to do ticketing? I need to make some complex changes to an RTW and I want to sit down with someone competent.

Personally I find the Airport Ticket Office more competent than the central one. Plus you may have to queue for a while at the central office. But if you need someone to look at flight options etc then I think you'll need the CTO - the ATO is good when you have the new itinerary all set up and you just need to get the ticket reissued to match.

I'll answer my own question to say that the staff in the Peninsula building are great. No queues around 9am and I can recommend the staff as having a lot of experience with RTW's. ^
Also, I have found that the telephone reservation staff in PEK to be surprisingly excellent. They just opened a new city ticket office in Beijing and I guess they are devoting a lot of talent to this market. |
