CX J Menus 2007
With a new year, a new thread on CX F/J/Y menus...
Inspired from CGK's highly organized and successful SQ F/J/Y menu thread, I think we should start one for the CX Forum. I will volunteer to organize the title thread and put all the information in some kinds of formats. Since lots of folks always ask what CX is serving on a particular route, why don't we start something similar to CGK in SQ forum? I know some of you don't care about it, but for those who care about it, hopefully it will be a helpful guide to present and future CX flyers. New J Class Meal Services Offerings
Just arrived into HKG and the following enhancements were noted on J Class:
1) New Menu Cards (different layout and different set of pictures) 2) Different paper tissues used on plates 3) Different casserole dishes (much better - oval shaped, like a pasta bake dish) 4) New Fruit Smoothies! for breakfast service The FA told me FRA and LHR are on trial with the galley plating service. She also said there will be more enhancements starting this month. |

Good on the oval dishes - at least there's more food in it than the old square ones. But I can see some of the preplating starters have shrunk in portions ! :eek: Overall good show. ^ But like you say, the new trials are going to LHR and FRA and what you showed is not it right? |
Some Clarifications:
The Plating in the galley has commenced already on the LHR/FRA routes for a month or so already and it is anticipated if the customer feedback is good they will try and convert it to other routes. The pictures are not the plating in the galley, but are the new style of pre-plating dishes to replace those ugly economy class style dishes. They prob will stay for a while (especially on short hauls J Class) The starters portion are actually pretty decent (sorry the angle of the photo might be misleading. There were like 3 prawns on the plate instead of 1 that appears on the photo. |
