New Amenity Kits in all classes
 

Hi, for those of you who are interested/care about Amenity kits, here is some news. Starting in January 2007, new amenity kits will be introduced in all classes:

First Class Female Amenity Kit

Bag design from Ipa-Nima
Skin care products from Darphin
The FCL Female amenity kit consists of 4 Darphin products:
• Hydraskin Intensive Moisturizing Serum
• Hydraskin Rich Replenishing Protective Moisturizing Cream
• Vitalbalm Lipcare
• Arovita Eye & Lip Contour Gel

Amenities include dental set, mouthwash, earplugs, hairbrush and cotton pads.

First Class Male Amenity Kit

Skin care products from Acca Kappa
FCL Male amenity kit consists of 3 products from Acca Kappa:

• 1869 Face Moisturizer
• 1869 Body Lotion
• Moisturizing Lip

Amenities include dental set, mouthwash, earplugs, comb and shoe horn.

Business Class Amenity Kit

Ex-HKG skin care products from Murad
Ex-Outport skin care products from Dermalogica

Amenities include a dental set, mouthwash, socks, eyeshade, earplugs, comb and shoe horn for male, hairbrush and cotton pads for female.

Economy Class Amenity Kit

New orange coloured bag with slant zipper will be gradually introduced onboard from mid January 2007. Content includes toothbrush, toothpaste, socks, Smint and eyeshade reminder.

Will the economy class kit include Face Moisturizer or Body Lotion. Less, hopefully,to put in my quart size clear plactic bag :confused: .

Would be nice if one of the airlines would start including mini-cologne bottles since we cant take the real ones w us anymore...

I amd SYD-HKG bound 8 Jan in F, be interested to see if they are new kits or still palming the oldies. SQ tool a long time on some flights to put in their new ones.

Interesting that they are using two skincare brands each in First and in Business.
Has anyone tried Murad's skincare products? Are they any good?

Never heard of Acca Kappa - but I am a complete philistine regrading cosmetics :o - is it of the same quality as Elemis?

This presumably means the end of the Elemis Day Spa vouchers. Has anyone actually used them? I have several in hand and they expire in Feb so I thought I'd give it a whirl.

Many airlines used to have em back in the old days when I was a little kid (late 80s, early 90s) ... I never knew what they were back then .. =)

Emirates have them in their Kits now, both in First and Business Class, only difference is the bags are different - leather in First, cloth in Business.

I don't care about the new kits, I want all the surplus old stock ;) , wonder where they'll go. But I guess Cathay will pass them all out till there's none left before switching to the new kits since everyone's tight with money these days.

Yes, I believe they're L'occitane samples. The EK kits are a joke since most of the stuff inside them are crap and F pax have to make do with the same stuff given to those in J.

I used them in both London and Hong Kong. Thought they were great.

Yeah, they'll hand out all the existing Kits until the current stock runs out. So we'll see a mix at the beginning.

I like the EK first bag only because it's black and leather, I don't really use the stuff inside. Sometimes I just empty out the bag before I leave the plane. =)
