Cathy point accumulation on 1W?
 

New to this site and Cathy but I will be flying HKG to TPE and need to know the points earning codes. My experience on other airlines these days is that no or few points are given on discounted tickets so I need to know which fares earn decent point levels for One World.

Also does one earn One World Points with Dragonair now that it has been acquired by Cathy?

Please excuse these simple questions for those competent flyers but I simply do not know .... Thanks.

Assuming you are AA or BA it will be Y, B, H only.

Y/B/H/K/L/M/V is mileage earning eligible class.

Dragon Air is not Oneworld partner, so you can not earn Club miles of Cathay Pacific on KA's flight. But you can earn Asiamiles.

CX Club miles can be earned on Oneworld partners only.

CX Club miles are credited as same amout of Asiamiles on CX and Onewolrd partner flights.

Have bought a Y ticket as it was only a few $$ more than an non earning discount fare on CX.

I am in AAs program---I found on their website only points given for J, Y and H.
