Marco Polo Silver

Ive just made silver, which I believe is OneWorld ruby.

1. Does Ruby mean I can check in at business call on any oneworld airline when im on an economy ticket? I fly alot of UK domestic flights and usually get put on BA economy. It would be good to beat the ques at LHR. Aslo, Im flying on vacation with AA to Mia from LHR, same rules apply?

2. Does MPC still send out those luggage tags with your name on?

Cheers.

Congratulations. ^ Answers to your questions:

1. Yes, you'll have priority checkin at business class counters across OneWorld airlines. You might even have an easier time being recognized by AA because they have a Ruby level, unlike BA.

2. I received green baggage tags when I signed up with MPC, so I assume Silvers also get tags that look like their FF cards.

BA, especially at LHR, are famous for not recognising OW Ruby at check-in. They often have queue dragons looking after the queue before they let you join.

To beat the queues, I'd suggest you check-in online from BA.com the previous day. Then you can turn up later and use the fast bag drop counter if you've checked luggage.

You don't have to be a BAEC member to check-in online.

Apparently, that was due to deficient staff training. Even with fast bag drop in the regular area of T1, it's so much more civilized to go through Zone R, so redgrape, insist on your OneWorld rights! :)
