online seat selection?

Hello. We have a CX reservation for next week, which we bought online through CX. I just realized that we were assigned seats 35B and 35C on a 744. I assume this is a middle and an aisle.

Is there a way to change these seats online? I don't know which site to use and we don't have cybertravelers account numbers.

Sorry for the dumb question... this is the first time we are flying CX.

In order to do advance seat reservation you either have to have some FF status with CX or be on a high-fare class ticket (YBH? I'm not sure).

744 layout in economy is 3-4-3 so if you want adjacent seats then BC is as good as any.

If you do have high fare tickets then use the CX website ("Our Fleet") to get the seating plan then call your local CX reservations number.

well, what we really want is an aisle and a window. You are right -- no seats were assigned originally. (thanks for jogging my memory....) We called and the agent would only give us two together. But that was a while ago... what do you think we could do now?

How about right at the end of the aircraft where you have 2 seats together by yourselves?

CX will not assign window and aisle knowing that you're travelling together. You could however assign two aisles across from each other.

So I called on Friday and they changed our seats to 35A and C. ^

So what's the plan when someone comes and sits in 35B? (Loads on CX are pretty high atthe moment)

Or we offer to switch for the window or aisle, depending on which we think we want.

Just so you know, the trick of sitting at 2 ends of 3 seater hoping for empty middle seat only works for empty flights. For booked out flight, i guess you are simply doing a favor for the middle-seat person, as one of you'll end up there anyways.

If I were you, I go for 2-seater on 4abrest section. No one will climb over you.
