Changes to CX SIN lounge

Effective Janaury 2005, there will be changes to SIN lounge at Changi International Airport.

Perhaps, gear down can shed some more light on this changes.

Well, if in deed there are any changes, perhaps refurbrishment like those in TPE?

Since no one has pointed out, you are doing quite well as a newbie for first knowing who Randy is, and second knowing "gear down" as reliable source of CX info. It's a compliment you know

Personally I do know most of the CX airport staff at SIN. They did say to me a few months ago that there 'might' be a refurbishment of the SIN lounge. People were not too crazy of the the 'old' green style with the 'once-you-sit-down-never-get-up' chairs. But they must first get the okay from CX's finance department for such a refurbishment. If they do go ahead, I guess CX and AY passengers (the latter rents CX's lounge at SIN) can use the BA/QF lounge in the meantime. As of late, there isn't much other info. I'll email the SIN Station Manager and will advise once I have news of this.

to SQ773ER:

I am not trying to attack you personally but your post is simply ridiculous. You are the one who started to say there will be refurbishment at CX’s lounge at Changi. However, you are also the one who wants gear down to provide additional information. Isn't it a contradiction?

If you want info on CX’s lounge in Changi, perhaps you can start the thread by simply asking if there is any refurbishment that will take place sometime next year. However, if you do not have the info then simply don’t post it.

No contradiction in asking other members if they know more

Sometimes FTers may hear something from FAs or lounge agents and pass on the info. It is not always correct and is not always wrong. I for one am happy to hear it shared. It is possible that the information is not widely disseminated or not yet official. Checking to see if other informed members or company insiders know more is not a contradiction but an openness to new info. Let us have a supportive community here instead of picking faults in each others posts.
