Generous CX

I applied for CX Silver last year as part of a CX campaign in Japan. In view of my LH *Gold status, they gave me CX Gold. This was the first pleasant surprise.

I actually tried to fly CX whenever possible (no great hardship) and managed to requalify for silver...or so I thought (about 22'000 miles)

Checked online tonight and it appears they gave me Gold again... Am I pleased or what??!! :D

So CX does comp status... but based on "promotions" only.

Hmmm. Interesting to see how other countries fair if one is to ask about this elsewhere.
