DONE4 MPO Baggage Policy

Just want to know, if I am on a DONE4 ticket and I am flying CX from LHR-HKG. Am I allowed to check in 3 Piece of luggage (each weighing 32Kgs)??

That is 2 Piece from the DONE4 ticket (Piece system applies to the whole ticket) and the 1 Piece because of my GOLD MPO?
Can someone please confirm?

Thanks

The latest copy of your "The CLUB" magazine should have a brief layout of the benefits of all membership levels. I can't find my copy here...perhaps you can call MPC to find out?

Details here:
https://www.cathaypacific.com/intl/f.../benefits/gold (you need to be logged in to view this)
which says: "15 kg excess baggage allowance or one extra piece on trans-Pacific routes."
So to the strict letter of that what you are allowed is 2 pieces + 15kg. But I suspect that what is actually intended is that you may take a third piece.

Just curious, you want to fly around the globe with 96kg of luggage? That's heavier than carrying a wife on your back! :p

Anyways, I think the 3rd piece should be okay. If I fly from US to Other asian destinations, the piece system apply for HKG-asia segment, so using this theory, u should be allowed 3rd piece for entire journey (assuming it contain trans-pacific segment, of course!)

No, I am planning to do some SERIOUS Shopping! in Europe. (Also Planning to buy 1 new suitcase when I am in Milan)
Therefore I need to ensure there is enough baggage allowance.

This is where an SQ PPS Club Card (when flying SQ) is so wonderful. Not only your baggage allowance get doubled (to four pieces in case of RTWs), but the same applies to ALL your immediate family members. :D

Not in OneWorld they don't: CX & QF offer 15kg or one extra piece. AA doesn't offer anything that I am aware of. Nor does BA as far as I can see.

CX offers 20kg extra for Diamonds, so if you were a diamond flying Y you could theoretically say that's a double allowance...

Or one extra piece on trans-Pacific. BTW, why does trans-Pacific have to be different to everyone else in counting pieces instead of weight?

ooops - yes, sorry. (Never really worried since I always travel pretty light.)

As opposed to receiving the benefit for ONLY one person - yourself.
Of course, this doesn't matter if you don't have a family member travelling with you.
Or am I missing something here?
