Shanghai based agent needed!
 

Does anyone know of a reliable agent in Shanghai that can be counted on to ticket my return from PVG? It seems that one can save substanially on Business Class if the ticket
is issued there. All references will be most appreciated. :p

How about asking your hotel concierge?

I'm curious as to why this is in the Cathay Pacific forum since Cathay don't fly to Shanghai.

With a bit of luck our esteemed (but low profile) moderator will be along shortly to move it the the Asia forum.

Maybe because:

1. No one will read it there

2. CX is going to fly to PVG and currently flies to PEK; and

3. The basic point/question about China originated discounted tickets applies.

Talk with the hotel booking offices outside arrivals exit. It is crawling with ticket agents - just ask, they have no signs.

I have booked Shanghai hotels from this website: www.ctrip.com and everything goes on smoothly. You may wish to enquire on the air tickets. They have both Chinese and English version of the webpages.

They speak English (though may make you send them an email to enquire) and many expats use them. I have used them as well and they are good. They deliver but charge the usual 3% if you use credit cards...
