Regional Business Class
Sorry if posted earlier but it seems CX is suddenly making many of their regional flights the new A330-300 which means no PE and business seats essentially PE (even smaller seats it seems). Does anyone have more information ie will this become even more mainstream. My Bali biz flight was charged from 1-2-1 to a cramped 2-2-2, all ICN flights no longer have PE and my lunchtime SG flight was changed to 2-2-2. Thanks

Well, it's a regional flight afterall....

Is cx trying to compete with LCC or SQ?

you do realize that until the a333 refurb happens or when the a339 arrives, this is just biased bashing?
There are things CX does well and better than SQ. Regional business right now is definitely not one of them. Its probably on the same end of the spectrum as CX IT. |

Are you talking about flights post-29MAR? If so, CX just puts placeholder on many regional flights before equipment is finalised. Before CX is determined to have Premium Economy on a particular flight, CX will not sell it.

yes, post end of March for ICN but the HKG-SIN flights seem to have changed now as did the Bali flight last week. I don’t visit this site often and above posts allude to a change in 2026 eg to 339 or 333 aircraft - my question is “are we to expect CX phasing out lie flat aisle free seats from now on with no PE?” Thanks

Apparently they will debut it in 2026 and its meant to be lie flat all aisle access - see below. This might be their intention but given we havn't even seen the teaser video and the general manufacturer delays, that seems optimistic to me.

I didn't have high hopes for it but based on the recent news that they are going to redo the 321 economy, it seems like they have refocused on their hard product so who knows (maybe David does).
that’s really useful, many thanks |
