Baggage delay on Cathay
What has been the experience with reimbursement. Cathay have stated based on receipts that they offer 100% on tolietries and 70% reimbursement on clothes - as clothes have "resdiual value".
While I am not one to argue the rights and wrongs with this and note that different airlines have different policies (BA = 100%, LH requires you to post the clothes back to them, AA is a painful exercise etc etc). Of course I can go to travel insurance, but my policy has a deductable whch makes it a wash out. Is this typical, have people pushed back, or should I just happily take the 70%. Happy for shared experience rather than opinions. (Bags were misrouted for 4-5 days, which did require the purchase of specific items, which was reasonable (undergarments, socks, shirts etc) (I am OK with it, just checking that I have not been given a bum steer) Thanks, KF |
