CX-AF interline : separate PNR
Hello,
Apologies for starting a new thread as I have searched without success on a definitive answer or alternate location. Flying SYD-HKG in J then HKG-CDG in F. Was intending to stay a couple of nights in Paris before onwards travel but now need to be in Madrid. Intention is to book a separate ticket CDG-MAD a few hours after arrival - on AF. I understand CX and AF do have an interline agreement. These will obviously be separate PNRs. I’ve had no problem with SQ doing this in the past - but will CX check all the way through to MAD? As it obviously makes a big difference if have to clear immigration and collect and recheck baggage… Thanks for any information. |
the official policy is yes usually that shouldn’t be a problem at Hong Kong Airport but it depends on the contractor agent at SYD not sure if they are familiar with the policy. worst case scenario you can talk to the station manager

It is CX policy to check=through on separate tickets. You could show:
https://www.cathaypacific.com/cx/en_...in-policy.html Note that Spain is within Schengen. You should enter Schengen (immigration) in CDG. |
If this is a paid ticket you can probably tag on a CDG-MAD on AF almost for free.
