CP Economy Light
Is there any disadvantage to booking in Economy Light? It seems like we are allowed to book our seats for a fee. If we are OneWorld Sapphire, can we book our seats for free? The hold time to talk to an agent is over an hour and there was no option for a call back. Would we get 2 checked bags due to our status? We are flying Tokyo-HK-Singapore. The cost is a little over $500 pp. Scoot seems to be about the same price so CP sounds like a better deal. This is for a late April flight.

OWS gets free seat selection, including extra legroom seats.
Online MMB should let you do it, but if it doesn't then I suggest sending them a WhatsApp message with the exact instructions and letting them action it in their own time. |
At time of booking CX system recognizes your OW status (at least from BAEC) and let you choose seats accordingly.

OWS should be able to select seats for free, the additional baggage allowance will also be reflected under MMB.
