The Paris Olympics is starting this Friday. I wonder if CX will be able to move back to Terminal 2C before then.

It’s still closed - amazing! [Although the Qatar Airways replacement lounge is stunning, it is before security…]

Quick update: on the sidelines of the Aria Suites launch I asked CX exec Vivian Lo if there was any update on the CDG lounge. Her response: "We are intending to reopen it when the terminal is ready for us to reopen." And when might that be? "We're still waiting for the answer."

Airport staff had told me they expected Terminal 2A to open in December 2024. Seems very unlikely …

So frustrating! We'd also been hearing 'back in time for the Olympics', but nope...

Is it still closed?

2AC is open but CX is still in T1. So the CX 2A lounge is still closed.

Something tells me, that if the CX Paris lounge is not going to reopen, then could that be the next potential location for a Oneworld branded lounge. On a side note, when I checked in for CX288 at Frankfurt recently, the check in staff told me that Cathay will relocate from Terminal 2 to Terminal 3 around April 2026 and part of that relocation will also see new Oneworld branded lounge in Terminal 3. The existing Priority/former CX lounge in Terminal 2 has seen better days, though most of the former CX furniture and fit out still remains.

With CX seemingly now on the path to post-COVID recovery, what are thoughts on whether we’ll see some former CX lounge locations resurrected? Europe, Aus?

Deleted, I had misunderstood.

I think that refers to Calvincheng58 was referring to FRA terminal 3 (due to open in 2026) rather than CDG terminal 3.

Apologies! You are quite right.

Just saw that CX will move back to CDG T2A from Dec 4, 2025. I’m wondering what the lounge situation is for CX then? Will its own lounge reopen soon?

boybi Nov 26, 2025 4:55 am

Which lounge in T2A will CX use if their own lounge won’t be open yet.

I was in the adjacent admirals club at CDG yesterday, and when connecting to the Wifi I noticed that the "Cathay Pacific Lounge" network was online. This may not be a change, I'm not confident that it wasn't on before. But it surprised me, and seeing this it makes sense that might be making preparations to re-open the lounge.
