It seems the flights will be special bubble flights not allowing any transit pax... Wonder if CX will treat them as special charter flights instead of regularly scheduled ones...

I had heard about this a little while ago and it has been frustrating waiting for the announcement, only to find it is still in a preliminary stage, as I have some business in Singapore.
For me the key points are:
1. Negative test in advance
2. While people may travel for any purpose there will be controls over the numbers which can be adjusted according to circumstances
3. There is no set date, or target date, for implementation, as details still need to be organised and agreed.
I am looking forward to hearing more good news.
Now what about other places? Especially China. I have a backlog of meetings there, well for those willing to meet.

China sure can't afford another lockdown because of imported cases.

Also seems like separating the two types of passengers will make it easier to add more regions in the future, as certain airports (like TPE) separates transit passengers on the ground as well, and would likely want any bubble partners to do the same.

Lots of questions yet unanswered:

Does one need to do one or two PCR tests per journey - meaning if SIN-HKG, does one do it once before departure at SIN and a second time shortly after arrival at HKG? Seems the obsession to test is key to not having quarantine.

IMHO - everything is basically BS when Hong Kong can't convince Macau and/or the Mainland to open their door and Singapore is still limiting Malaysia traffic.
