The perception that cases need to be controlled to zero is also an issue in other southeast Asian countries, and will seriously hamper recovery in the parts of the region where vaccine coverage is spotty. If you are going to open a travel bubble or other limited forms of travel but stop it as soon as you have >0 cases, you might as well not bother with opening up at all.

Edward Yau cited his Singapore counterpart stating Singapore might not be in a position to restart on 26 May

Hanging on a thin thread though, according to SCMP.

“The [outgoing] Singaporean minister told me that there might be a high chance the bubble arrangement may not be able to resume under the agreed mechanism on May 26,” he said, citing the need for “absolute precautions”.

18 unlinked cases in Singapore on Sunday, out of 49.

That's the end of the bubble for the time being.
https://www.straitstimes.com/singapo...-the-community

And arrivals from Singapore are now subject to 21-day quarantine (high-risk country).

SCMP reported that Hong Kong will move Singapore to Group B from Group D. So see you in a few months, travel bubble (again...)

its "DEFERED" to 13th June. What a futile resistance to call it deferral. just admit the darn policy failure.

also singapore now high risk designation. so 21day quarantine, if fully vaccinated its 14day.

thus i said from Oct that whole concept of bubble is flawed.. the arrangement will change like nad weather without warnings. how can one possibly plan anything around this
