No. The old miles expire 3 years after earning, regardless of activities.

Thanks to everyone here for the info on the "2 partner transfer" reinstatement of miles. Went through with it, points were returned to my account 36 hours after the transfer. Here was the timeline:
-Transferred 3k total from CapOne and Amex. Transfers were instant.
-Immediate follow up email to CX
-Received reply saying miles will be reinstated within 24 hours.
-Miles reinstated within 24hr of email reply.

I replied to the email we started. I had contacted them via the web form on AsiaMiles.com and the reply came from Marco Polo Club ([email protected]).

My AM miles are not expiring until later this year, but I would like to redeem something now for an AA US domestic flight. No matter what I do, the site is telling me an award with more than 4 segment cannot be done online...except I am trying to book an one-way between MIA and NYC in Y.

Anyone else running into this issue?

Thank you. I have already redeemed directly from AA due to dwindling inventory, but will keep in mind for next time.

Thanks you for the info on the "2 partner transfer" to reinstatement of miles. Contacted MarcoPolo, got the offer and transfered from both Marriott and HiltonHonors.

Marriott was almost instant, but still awaiting the Hilton points transfered to my account. Anyone have some experience on how long this will take ?

This is not an official policy. Rather, many people have received this offer upon request. I suggest that you contact MPO or AM yourself to seek the same offer yourself to make sure AM will honour it.

You contact them to get this offer on the day after your miles have expired. then they add this offer to your account and you can begin the "challenge"
I think it's a good idea to check if you are actually eligible beforehand for this "challenge" before miles expiry, so that you can carry out Plan B if it doesnt exist

I only have the Hilton and Bonvoy AMEX cards and no CapOne cards. I have 130,000 Asia miles expiring this summer.
How do I renew them?

You can either do what people have suggested above (or email AM in advance and make sure the same arrangement would apply for you), or redeem something before the summer (can be for a ticket up to 360 days from the date of redemption).
