Upfare from E to R.

How does one go about doing an upfare? Was originally booked in E for an upcoming trip but would to upfare into R for redemption into U.
Will CX charge the change fee as well or it is straight up upfare?

I do this for economy frequently as my work will only pay for the bare minimum economy ticket. I'd rather pay the difference to get CP.

I usually call in to upgrade to a higher economy fare and pay the difference.

If I book online through CX, there's an option for me to pay for a higher economy fare.

Not sure from E to R but I'm sure it's possible.

You pay the fare difference + the rebooking fee

If your itin is covered by the current waiver, change fee, if any, is waived.

Last time I called to upfare from PE to J, it was change fee + fare difference.
