HKG First Class Check In Access
 

I am flying Y on a CX flight out of HKG in a couple of weeks. As a OW Emerald, do I have access to use the first class check in area? WIll I also receive priority security screening?

You get access to the First check in area. I don’t think they provide any fast track for security. If they do, it’s only for diamonds.

Priority security could not possibly be much faster than regular security given the quick rate they add inspection lines the minute there are two people in line.

If you're talking about the Courtesy Channel invite, I've noticed that they do not give it to me as an EMD travelling in J. however, I receive one when travelling in F (regardless of whether I'm upgraded, revenue, or award). Not to worry - the time savings are probably 1 minute or less most of the time, during the Christmas peak when the lines were packed I maybe saved 3 minutes.
