Possible CX / KA Union Staff Strike Due to Extradition Law
Several Chinese news sources have indicated that CX and KA union staffs are collecting signatures and might be joining the anti-Extradition Law strike tomorrow (12JUN). The only English source I found is Airline workers in HK gather online support for strikes - The Standard. Some Chinese sources include ????????????? ??????? - ?? - ???? - ???? Headline Daily, https://www.hk01.com/社會新聞/339235/逃犯條...32631;工, and https://www2.hkej.com/instantnews/cu...32631;工. Some sources seem to limit the scale only to union offices, but others seem to indicate that FA may join if there are enough signatures.

Ugh, I'm flying off long-haul this weekend thru HKG and into SFO... hope this doesn't affect that flight.
Separately, looks like the HKG teachers' union is also "mulling school boycotts" as per SCMP: https://www.scmp.com/news/hong-kong/...efiant-protest |
