Is milk available as a drink on Cathay?
Specifically we're flying YYZ to HKG, seats in PE, with a lap infant. Do you know if they offer milk as a drink? I don't mean baby formula but regular milk that a child/adult would drink. Anyone know?

Yes whole milk is definitely available and I am almost sure skim milk is an option as well.

Yes. I get it for my kids whenever I fly longhaul. |
I wish I knew this when I was 6! Sadly, adulthood presents tea, coffee and booze :(

Definitely, but on request. They typically serve milk to go with muesli, but if you only need the milk, go ask FA on drink service, although they're quite happy to oblige.
I always ask them for a glass on milk for breakfast, and FAs had zero problems with that. |
All this talk of milk is making my stomach curdle.. I'm slightly lactose intolerant, and I wish CX provides oat milk!!

Slightly older kids will probably prefer the hot chocolate option!

Does the brand of milk provided depend on the departure country?

Some 10 years ago, I asked upfront from Eva Air to load 0.5 L semi-skimmed milk for me (medical reasons). They complied with that, even loaded a full liter each leg and kept serving until finished (that's 500 kcal). They confirmed with me upfront, the milk might be soy milk, to which I agreed. Edit: And on my LH CX flights, I do get "normal" milk with my tea, so it's definitely available, though I do not know about the qty. Regarding HK style milk-tea: That's just "power" with water. Tastes OK, though for my liking usually a bit to much sweet. |

In J yes, but in F they add heated creamer or milk depending on the FA who makes it.
If it's just adding creamer/milk to the powder type Hong Kong style milk tea, then, let me try that next time :D |
