Why would anyone flying HKG-SIN choose a flight via BKK when there are plenty of direct services available - also if it means a forced stay onboard up to 2 hours at BKK? Almost a whole day is wasted when going via BKK
It is beyond me... |

If you are not flying on the direct fifth freedom flight, you get off at BKK, clear transit security, head for the lounge and board the incoming flight that departs to SIN. The stopover flight should only have ground time of 1 hour. Mind sharing the flight number you are on? |
Just an update: The FA asked me to stay onboard the plane for the stop. It was for about 1/2 an hour then the BKK passengers boarded... Off topic but the A350-1000 is a far superior passenger ride than the 777-300ER!

BKK customs requires all transiting passenger on the same flight number to remain on board which in this case applies to only these 3 flights
CX 712 (SIN-BKK-HKG) CX 717 (Summer Season) (HKG-BKK-SIN) CX 619 (Winter Season) (HKG-BKK-SIN) Unless you are transferring to another flight number but to same destination, then you must disembark. |

I did it (only mileage redemption left) and I had to stay on board |
