Need help award availability
 
Sorry for silly question.
Could anyone tell me if there is AM availability in J/F 2 pax:HKG-BKK 11/12 morning, BK-HKG 14/12 afternoon.

There is not a single flight available on BAEC, even by phone (so not a question of BA hiding availability)
Big difference in availability.

Or more likely CX Asiamiles not offering awards to other ffp's (not BA hiding)

Big difference in availability.
Didn't BA redemptions on CX also have some kind of "rule" which prevented redeeming for flights close-in? Can't remember the exact no. of days, but I vaguely recall something like that. I might be mistaken though.

Ofc, CX might be also releasing less award availability to partners, which is probably justified to an extent.

BA was "hiding" availability around 6 days before departure, but you could get it by phone.
But now BAEC has very few regional CX award availability throughout.

But if you search TPE-HKG-BKK there is availability via Avios...

While it’s an Avios issue, I saw the same..
SIN-HKG, late Jan, multiple flights available across multiple days searching for 2 J award seats via CX.

Via Avios- some days have a fair bit of availability- some, none, however available as SIN-HKG-TPE

Indeed. It moves from zero to almost all flights available in J.
But that does not help me :(
