Cathay signature drinks

Hi guys,

Will be travelling with CX business in Oct and Nov. Being allergic to alcohol and kiwi fruit, does it mean that none of the CX singature drinks will be suitable for me?

Thanks :)

You can try Oriental Breeze, another Cathay signature drink.

I once heard that Cathay Delight is offered in even months, while Oriental Breeze is in odd months. So OP should be able to try the latter in Nov.

OP can order any of the signature drinks in the lounge though

Thanks for the replies.

Is this true? I have been looking forward to trying some of CX's signature drinks on board. I know they are offered in CX lounges, but what about OW lounges? We will have to spend a lot of time in the OW lounge at LAX before our LAX-HKG flight Feb 5th.

I think there's also one called Pacific Sunrise

Cathay Delight and Pacific Sunrise is offered on even months, while Oriental Breeze and Cloud Nine is available on odd months. You can order Cathay Delight in CX lounges if there's a tended bar, but not sure if you can order the other ones as I have never seen them on the bar menu. You can only order CX signature drinks only onboard or in a CX Lounge, so I'm quite sure you can't get it in any other oneworld lounge. That being said, if you know the formula, you could always ask a bartender to recreate the drink if they have the material.

A side note, a recent trip to HND revealed not all CX lounges with a tended bar feature Cathay Delight. Instead, HND has two Signature drinks, Sweet Haneda and the Haneda Jade.

Both Pacific Sunrise and Cloud Nine were available on an even month. I asked the crew which is available and she somehow misunderstood (or did she?) my question and brought me both with my meal.

I believe Pacific Sunrise is alcoholic, so not suitable for OP.

Thanks for that. I was hoping to try all of them on my 4 Feb flights! Got to find a way to pass the time :)

The lounges don't serve Oriental Breeze.

90% sure it's chicken...

Central90210 - is that a special meal? ah, I see butter, so it's not low lactose... hmm... on which route was this photo taken?

chunhim_lai Feb 1, 2020 6:31 am

neither I and my colleges/family think that it is chicken.
