Look I am very sorry some posters made fun of your english but could you either drop this matter or place it WHERE IT BELONGS in the Only Randy Petersen forum. Could you please tell me what this has to do with Cathay Pacific airlines? http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/rolleyes.gif

I totally agree with JJ.
This topic does not belong here.
Let's keep it relevant to Cathay.

Actually...it doesn't belong there either. If you have a problem with the moderator, the following two options are avilable to you (and recommended first):

1) E-Mail the moderator - keep in mind they might not answer within a couple of seconds, as many moderators live around the world and fly quite often, B. Watson included.

If - after a few days #1 option hasn't responded to your satisfaction, complete the next option

2) E-Mail Randy personally. This gets his attention and doesn't divert Flyertalks attentions from it's primary purpose of Miles & Points.

3) If for some reason Randy doesn't responsd within a week (for instance, he was/is in Russia), then you can pursue other avenues.

Dear Flying Mom,

With all due respect, I truly believe that you're making people believe that your English is bad when it is inevitably all invented by you.

1) You're from Singapore. Hardly the place where bad English exists. If it does, it only exists as Singlish and can only be heard when spoken to.

2) No one I know in Singapore who speaks as bad as you do, speaks the way you do. In fact, your grammar is 'too bad' to be believable. Considering this fact, your spelling is amazingly correct for somone who doesn't speak English well.

3) I can only surmise that you're posting this here on the CX board is that 1) You like CX, 2) Or you think CX is prejudice against people who are not asian-like (as per one of your earlier posts).

Please let's just keep all this with points and miles. Perhaps, Flying Mom has a question on how to obtain miles using grammar? A course at the British Council perhaps, paid for using your Cathay Pacific Asiamiles Citibank card perhaps?

I believe this and the associated "Why is the moderator not moderating" threads that have cropped up here recently are undisputably the best proof of the maxim "making a mountain out of a molehill" I have ever seen. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/rolleyes.gif

As for the supposed "making fun" of the original poster's English, this has consisted, from what I have read in the thread that sparked all this mountain-building, of a couple of posters requesting Flying Mom to check grammar before posting.

I've replied as asked, though I do agree with the others that this thread doesn't belong here. Fact is, I've never had a reason to visit this forum and without the assistance of the moderator who asked me to visit on this isuue, would not have even seen this. My answer is here:

P.S. I'd ask sq345, a1983 and Guy Betsy to let this English issue pass. A members grammar is not a focus on FlyerTalk - your information and opinions about frequent flyer programs are. Thanks for your help with this.
