But then again CX also shows "EQV" on other SFO-HKG flights that week even though the inbound flights earlier in the day show "744". Go figure! OT: Yay! My post count matches part of my handle. I haven't been on a CX flight without empower for a while - do they still have a bunch of a/c without it?
|
i find this empower thread utterly amazing. between dinner and a movie, relaxing, chatting, reading and grooming, I can work at most 2 hours on my long haul flights. and here I read about people working in excess of 7. Salute you I do.

Originally posted by bp888: Well, that's what the "Go Figure" part of my comment referred to. CX is famous for not reconciling their schedule... And who knows.. you might get a 34C or 346 instead all of a sudden. Last time I flew it turned out to be a 74J. TOTALLY unexpected. You can also pretend to book a ticket on www.cathay-usa.com and you can look at the seatmaps that show up and figure out what aircraft configuration it is. How many CX 747-400s still have the old business class? Thanks!
|
I was told yesterday by the cabin crew that two 747s still have old business class. I had the misfortune to get one of them on the day flight to London about 10 days ago. (I was in First, but the corollary of OBC is no AVOD http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/frown.gif )

Thanks for the info Carfield! Do you know when the last 2 747-400s will be converted to NBC?
|
I'm slightly confused by this in that Carfield hasn't contributed to this thread...
But if you look at the first post in the thread you will see the schedule for the conversions. The current status is consistent with that. |

Christep, sorry to have your name mixed up and sorry for the redundant question! I didn't realized my answer was in the first post of the thread.
