Have any other AAdvantage members that fly CX gotten "The Private Offer" yet? Mine arrived in the mail on Saturday, and was fly 3 transpacific roundtrips with CX during 2004 (must be in F/A/J/D/C classes) and receive 30K bonus miles.

Mine was 2 for 20k. Not enticing enough and a far cry from the promo from 2-3 years ago.

Mine was 2 for 20K too. Not impressed...

Mine was 3 for 30K. Totally useless.

What cheeses me off is that they think someone who shleps all the way to Asia from NY is always going to go and come back through HKG. No credit in this promo is given for the poor slob who does a RTW ticket or goes into one city on one airline and back home on CX because of where they have to be and when.

We have discretion as to what airline we travel. For example, I'm flying from SYD to JFK next month in F. Should I fly QF/AA SYD-LAX-JFK or SYD-HKG-YVR-JFK on CX? I already decided but this promo gives no incentive for me to choose CX. There may be other reasons to choose them but not this one.

Well no kidding on the RTW!!!!

Now I do agree that two one way's in F or J should quality - the problem is that they should kill off A and D availability and then make it two flights, not a RT

I got mine on Monday but it was 1 r/t for 10k bonus miles - For those that got 2/3 for 20/30k miles - did you have to complete all r/t to get the total miles or 10k per trip?

I'm not clear - is this an offer of AAdvantage miles? (In which case you're discussiing this in the worng forum).

Or is it some sort of attempt by CX to get people to switch from AAdvantage to AsiaMiles?

This is about flying CX , and the reward is on AA miles..Where more appropriate ??
My office colleague who flew CX 13 or 14 RTs in FC transpac last year..did not even receive any mail...wonder why ???

Really? Oh. That is the opposite of my previous understanding. I thought we were organised by Frequent Flyer programme, not by airline. The tagline for the CX forum says "Discussion regarding Asia Miles" and the one for the AA forum says "Discussion regarding American Airlines AAdvantage".

I had always thought that meant discussion about offers put out by AAdvantage would be in the AA forum, regardless of which airline they were on. If it isn't organised that way then as an AAdvantage member I have to watch the forums for every one of their partner airlines to see what offers come up, which is going to increase my time on FT exponentially.

But you're the boss, so I guess I'll just have to adjust my reading habits.

I am assuming yes, you have to complete all 3 (in my case) trips to get the bonus. Some of the fine print reads:

The Private Offer bonus miles will appear on qualifying participant's AAdvantage statement within 30 days after the targeted flight activity is achieved; pre-registration is not required.
