AVOD?
Has Cathay completed installing AVOD in all planes with F?
Specifically, I'm interested in the 744s that fly from LHR to HKG. Thanks in advance. |
There are still four 747-400s which are in 74B configuration ie no AVOD or NBC. They are HOS, HUB, HUE and HUJ. The current plan is to have the NBC retrofitting for these four aircraft completed by March 2004.
The remaining 15 747-400s have all been refitted with NBC and thus have AVOD in F. To my knowledge all flights to and from Heathrow are operated by the standard 744 and at CX this means that there is no 'rule' as to whether a 74B (OBC) or 744 (NBC) configured aircraft operates. The exception is the Monday CX251 and thus Tuesday CX250 which uses the 74J configured 747-400 (which does have AVOD). I hope that makes sense... |
