OBC on CX252 for sure?
Has anyone flown this recently - it's the 21.00 Tues/Thurs LHR to HKG. CX list it as a 74B, which is fitted with OBC seats.
I've heard CX has a reputation for swapping its planes around, but from its website, I also see that certain flights don't have a specific plane attached to them, so maybe that's to be expected. So the question is: who's been on CX252 recently and found themselves in NBC? AND a follow up... if you've got a two hour stopover in HKG en route from LHR to SYD (in J), is that long enough to find and relax in Cathay's lounge? What's the best lounge to head for? TIA |

The only way to find out of there is an equipment change is keep checing on www.seatmap.com. Good luck - or change your eservation to the 250/254.
2 hours is plenty of time to check out the lounge is HKG. Both are great, but different. The Wing is wide open, and has the famous Cabanas. The Pier is more closed in, has daybreak rooms and loads of P.C's. Which one to go to depends on where you arrive and depart from. if both gate numbes are low i.e. 1-25, use the Wing. Anything above that use the Pier. If it's a mix, take your pick. I prefer the Pier, but the Wing gives the quintessential CX lounge experience. |
Thanks for the replies. I'll keep an on seatmap, although the chances don't look good.
Where can I find out about OBC seats? CX's website no longer carries information about them, and googling cathay business class just throws up lots of information about NBC. TIA |
