CX extends codeshares to US
 

From 1 November 2003, Cathay Pacific passengers will be able to fly to Nashville, New Orleans, Pittsburgh, Raleigh Durham and Tampa on “CX”-coded flights operated by American Airlines after flying on Cathay Pacific to Los Angeles.

Codeshares may be nice... but it's a shock to your system getting off CX and onto AA in any class! But especially damaging to your nerves when you've just come off CX First or Business to AA's domestic First Class product.
