merging 2 wait-listing redemption

Hi,

I have 2 return redemption that are not yet issued. They are to the same destination but different dates

no.1: outbound confirmed and inbound waitlisting
no.2: outbound waitlisting and inbound confirmed

Is it possible to take the 2 confirmed segment and issue a return ticket? If anyone has experience, please kindly sahre

I know i can call them to ask but it's taking me forever to get to the line

Thanks a lot for your help

if they are destination under same award zone you should only get charged for points required for return

but i doubt u can "merge" 2 PNR into 1 PNR. u can only seperate PNR

You can issue 2 one way redemption, and ask MPC to refund the mileage difference between 2 one way and 1 return.
I guess that is what you wanted.

I often wait-list a bunch of flights on similar dates so see what pops first.

What has worked for me (CX MP DM) in the exact same scenario the OP is talking about is to first log in and waitlist redeem the flights that have already cleared on my other PNR, then cancel the old PNR.

Minutes later the system will email me and say my standbys have all cleared and I can log in and go to ticketing.

Lets say I book

PNR A where DEC 3 outbound is wait-listed , DEC 20 inbound cleared

and I book

PNR B and eventually it comes back with DEC4 outbound cleared, DEC21 inbound wait-listed

I now book PNR C for a DEC 4 outbound and a DEC 20 inbound - all segments show as wait-listed.

Now for me it has always been the case that if I now log in and cancel PNR A and B, minutes later the system will clear my entire PNR C and I am good to go.

Note that YMMV. I am MP DM and I usually book my redemption tickets a good 90 days or more in advance.
